1. Official Mandate, Scope & Background

The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) is the constitutional authority under Article 315 responsible for recruiting civil servants for the Government of Maharashtra, including Deputy Collectors, Assistant Police Commissioners, and Tehsildars.

2. Eligibility Criteria, Qualifications & Age Limits

Degree of a recognized university or equivalent qualification. Working knowledge of Marathi language is compulsory. Age Limit: 19 to 38 years for Open category (43 years for reserved categories).

3. Examination Scheme & Selection Procedure

Civil Services Combined Preliminary Examination, Civil Services Mains Descriptive Examination (aligned with UPSC pattern), and Personal Interview.
