1. Official Mandate, Scope & Background
The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) is the state executive recruitment authority established under the UPSSSC Act 2014 for appointments to Group 'C' posts in the Government of Uttar Pradesh, administering the annual Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET).
2. Eligibility Criteria, Qualifications & Age Limits
PET: Minimum Class 10 (High School) pass; age 18 to 40 years as of July 1. Subsequent Mains posts (Junior Assistant, Lekhpal, VDO) require 12th/Degree qualifications, typing proficiency, and CCC computer certification.
3. Examination Scheme & Selection Procedure
Stage 1: Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) score card. Stage 2: Shortlisting on PET percentile for post-specific Mains examinations. Stage 3: Document Verification and Typing/Skill tests where applicable.
