1. Official Mandate, Scope & Background
The SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination recruits personnel for Group 'B' (Gazetted and Non-Gazetted) and Group 'C' posts across central ministries, departments, and constitutional bodies, including Assistant Section Officers, Income Tax Inspectors, and Central Excise Inspectors.
2. Eligibility Criteria, Qualifications & Age Limits
Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Age Limit: 18 to 27/30/32 years depending on post designation (e.g., 18-30 for ASO in CSS, up to 32 for Junior Statistical Officer). Standard age relaxations apply for OBC, SC, ST, and PwD.
3. Examination Scheme & Selection Procedure
Tier-I: Computer-Based Examination (100 Qs, 200 Marks - Qualifying screening). Tier-II: Computer-Based Examination (Paper I: Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning, English, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge Module, and Data Entry Speed Test). Document Verification.
