The National Testing Agency (NTA) is an autonomous premier testing organization established by the Ministry of Education in 2017 to conduct efficient, transparent, and international-standard entrance assessments for admissions to higher educational institutions (JEE Main, NEET UG, CUET, UGC NET, CSIR NET).

As an examination-conducting authority, NTA sets specific operational parameters per exam cycle under guidelines mandated by statutory councils (MCI/NMC, AICTE, UGC, BCI).
