1. Official Mandate, Scope & Background
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) is a state-government centralized entrance test for admission to undergraduate engineering, technology, pharmacy, and architecture degree courses in government and self-financed universities across West Bengal.
2. Eligibility Criteria, Qualifications & Age Limits
Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science with minimum 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) and 30% marks in English. Minimum age: 17 years.
3. Examination Scheme & Selection Procedure
Offline OMR based examination comprising Paper-I (Mathematics - 100 Marks) and Paper-II (Physics & Chemistry - 100 Marks). Merit ranking based on General Merit Rank (GMR).
4. Core Syllabus & Key Subjects
Class 11 and 12 Higher Secondary curricula in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
