Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) is India's premier nuclear research facility headquartered at Trombay, Mumbai. Operating under the administrative control of the Department of Atomic Energy, it spearheads nuclear power generation technologies, reactor design, and radioisotope production.

2. Eligibility Criteria, Qualifications & Age Limits

Scientific Officer (OCES/DGFS): B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engineering) with minimum 60% aggregate in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Civil, or Metallurgy disciplines, or M.Sc in Physics/Chemistry. Age Limit: 18 to 26 years for General category.

3. Examination Scheme & Selection Procedure

Stage 1: Shortlisting based on valid GATE score or BARC Online Screening CBT. Stage 2: Rigorous personal interview testing fundamental conceptual command across engineering subjects.

4. Core Syllabus & Key Subjects

Core undergraduate engineering discipline curriculum with high emphasis on thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, reactor physics, circuit analysis, and material sciences.
