1. Official Mandate, Scope & Background

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is India's central banking institution established under the Reserve Bank of India Act 1934. It controls the monetary policy of the Indian rupee, supervises commercial banks and NBFCs, manages foreign exchange reserves, and maintains financial stability.

2. Eligibility Criteria, Qualifications & Age Limits

RBI Grade 'B' (General): Graduation degree in any discipline with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) or Post Graduate degree with 55%. Age Limit: 21 to 30 years (32 years for M.Phil/Ph.D candidates).

3. Examination Scheme & Selection Procedure

Phase-I: Online Objective Examination (General Awareness, English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning - 200 Marks). Phase-II: Descriptive & Objective Examination (Paper 1: Economic & Social Issues; Paper 2: English Writing Skills; Paper 3: Finance & Management). Phase-III: Personal Interview (75 Marks).

Monetary Policy, Fiscal Policy, Balance of Payments, Financial Markets, Risk Management in Banking, Corporate Governance, Motivation & Leadership, and English Essay/Letter Writing.
