1. Official Mandate, Scope & Background
State Bank of India (SBI) is a Fortune 500 statutory multinational public sector bank and the largest commercial banking institution in India. It independently conducts annual recruitments for Probationary Officers (PO), Junior Associates (Clerical), and Specialist Cadre Officers (SCO).
2. Eligibility Criteria, Qualifications & Age Limits
SBI PO / Clerk: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. Final year students can apply provisionally. Age Limit: 21 to 30 years for PO; 20 to 28 years for Junior Associates.
3. Examination Scheme & Selection Procedure
SBI PO: Phase-I Preliminary Examination (100 Marks), Phase-II Main Examination (200 Marks Objective + 50 Marks Descriptive Essay/Letter), and Phase-III Psychometric Evaluation, Group Exercises (20 Marks) & Personal Interview (30 Marks).
