1. Official Mandate, Scope & Background
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is a Central Armed Police Force established under the CISF Act 1968. It provides integrated security cover to critical industrial infrastructure, atomic installations, seaports, Delhi Metro network, and 68 civil commercial airports across India.
2. Eligibility Criteria, Qualifications & Age Limits
Constable (Tradesmen/Fire): 10th/12th pass; age 18 to 23 years. Head Constable (Ministerial): 12th pass with typing speed 35 wpm in English or 30 wpm in Hindi; age 18 to 25 years. Assistant Sub-Inspector (Steno): 12th pass with 80 wpm stenography.
3. Examination Scheme & Selection Procedure
Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Documentation, Written Computer-Based Examination, Skill/Typing Test, and Detailed Medical Examination.
4. Core Syllabus & Key Subjects
General Intelligence, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Elementary Mathematics, and Basic English / Hindi language comprehension.
