1. Official Mandate, Scope & Background
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is India's central counter-terrorism law enforcement agency constituted under the National Investigation Agency Act 2008 following the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. It exercises concurrent national jurisdiction to investigate offenses against national sovereignty.
2. Eligibility Criteria, Qualifications & Age Limits
Sub-Inspector in NIA: Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Age limit: Up to 30 years. Recruited through the SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination.
3. Examination Scheme & Selection Procedure
SSC CGL Tier-I and Tier-II Computer-Based Examination followed by strict Document Verification, Character and Antecedents verification, and Medical Examination.
4. Core Syllabus & Key Subjects
Quantitative Aptitude, General Intelligence, English Language, General Studies (Indian Constitution, Internal Security, Cyber Offenses), and Basic Computer Knowledge.
