1. Official Mandate, Scope & Background

The West Bengal Police Recruitment Board (WBPRB) is the official statutory body constituted to conduct recruitments for Sub-Inspectors, Lady Sub-Inspectors, Constables, and Wireless Operators in the West Bengal Police and Kolkata Police forces.

2. Eligibility Criteria, Qualifications & Age Limits

Constable: Madhyamik (10th) examination pass; age 18 to 30 years. Sub-Inspector: Bachelor's degree in any discipline; age 20 to 30 years. Ability to speak, read, and write Bengali is mandatory.

3. Examination Scheme & Selection Procedure

Preliminary Written Test, Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET - 1600m run in 6.5 mins), Final Combined Competitive Examination, and Interview.

4. Core Syllabus & Key Subjects

General Studies, Logical and Analytical Reasoning, Arithmetic, and English Language Comprehension.
