1. Official Mandate, Scope & Background
KPSC stands for the state public service commissions of Karnataka and Kerala, established under Article 315 of the Constitution. They conduct civil service gazetted probationary examinations (KAS), police sub-inspector recruitments, and departmental competitive examinations.
2. Eligibility Criteria, Qualifications & Age Limits
Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Proficiency in state official language (Kannada / Malayalam). Age limit: 21 to 35/38 years for general category with statutory relaxations.
3. Examination Scheme & Selection Procedure
Preliminary Objective Examination, Mains Descriptive Examination (comprising compulsory language papers, essay, and general studies papers), and Interview/Personality Test.
