A Vigilance Clearance Officer (VCO) functions under the administrative framework of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) Act 2003. Responsible for vetting administrative personnel, investigating corruption allegations, and certifying integrity before promotions and empannelment.
2. Eligibility Criteria, Qualifications & Age Limits
Gazetted civil service officers (IAS, IPS, IRS, Central Secretariat Service) deputed as Chief Vigilance Officers (CVO) and Vigilance Officers across public sector banks and ministries.
3. Examination Scheme & Selection Procedure
Empanelment and appointment by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) in consultation with the Central Vigilance Commission.
