Full Form of KVS
1. Official Mandate, Scope & Background
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) is an autonomous statutory body overseeing over 1,250 central government schools across India and abroad. It conducts nationwide recruitments for Principals, Post Graduate Teachers (PGT), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT), and Primary Teachers (PRT).
2. Eligibility Criteria, Qualifications & Age Limits
PRT: Senior Secondary with 50% marks, 2-year D.El.Ed / 4-year B.El.Ed, and qualified CTET Paper I. TGT: Bachelor's Degree with 50% in relevant subject, B.Ed, and qualified CTET Paper II. PGT: Master's degree with 50% and B.Ed. Age Limit: PRT (30 yrs), TGT (35 yrs), PGT (40 yrs).
3. Examination Scheme & Selection Procedure
Computer-Based Test (CBT) followed by Class Demo Teaching / Performance Assessment and Personal Interview (combined weightage 70:30).
4. Core Syllabus & Key Subjects
Part I: Proficiency in Languages (General English & General Hindi). Part II: General Awareness, Reasoning & Computer Literacy. Part III: Perspectives on Education and Leadership (Pedagogy). Part IV: Subject-Specific Core Syllabus.
