Full Form of TGT

1. Official Mandate, Scope & Background

Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) are professional school educators qualified to teach upper primary and secondary school students (Classes 6 to 10) in specific academic disciplines including English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science, and Social Sciences.

2. Eligibility Criteria, Qualifications & Age Limits

Bachelor's Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subjects/combination of subjects, Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from a recognized university, and mandatory pass in CTET Paper II or State TET Paper II. Age Limit: Up to 35 years.

3. Examination Scheme & Selection Procedure

Computer-Based Written Examination (CBT) covering general aptitude, pedagogy, and subject specialization, followed by Document Verification and Interview (where applicable).

4. Core Syllabus & Key Subjects

Discipline graduate subject syllabus, Child Pedagogy, Teaching Methodology, Classroom Assessment Techniques, and General English & Hindi.
