1. Official Mandate, Scope & Background

Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) are senior school faculty members qualified to teach senior secondary classes (Class 11 and 12) across central and state government schools in specialized disciplines like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, History, and Commerce.

2. Eligibility Criteria, Qualifications & Age Limits

Two-year integrated Post Graduate M.Sc/M.A. Course or Master's Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the relevant subject, alongside a B.Ed degree. Age limit: Up to 40 years.

3. Examination Scheme & Selection Procedure

Computer-Based Written Test (CBT) evaluating general aptitude, pedagogy, and post-graduate domain subject knowledge, followed by Personal Interview and class teaching demonstration.
