Full Form of NVS

1. Official Mandate, Scope & Background

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) is an autonomous organization running over 650 co-educational residential Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) across rural India. It conducts nationwide recruitments for Principals, PGTs, TGTs, and non-teaching staff.

2. Eligibility Criteria, Qualifications & Age Limits

TGT: 4-year integrated degree or Bachelor's degree with 50% in relevant subject, B.Ed, and valid CTET Paper II pass certificate; age up to 35 years. PGT: Master's degree with 50% and B.Ed; age up to 40 years.

3. Examination Scheme & Selection Procedure

Computer-Based Test (CBT) followed by Personal Interview (for teaching posts) or Skill Test (for non-teaching cadres). Final merit combines CBT (80%) and Interview (20%).

4. Core Syllabus & Key Subjects

General Awareness, Reasoning Ability, Knowledge of ICT, Teaching Aptitude, and Domain Subject Knowledge including NEP 2020 concepts.
