Full Form of HPPSC

1. Official Mandate, Scope & Background

The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) is the state constitutional commission under Article 315 of the Constitution. It conducts the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service (HPAS) Combined Competitive Examination, State Eligibility Test (SET), and judicial service selections.

2. Eligibility Criteria, Qualifications & Age Limits

Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent from a recognized university. Age Limit for HPAS: 21 to 35 years as of 1st January of the examination year (with statutory relaxations for HP domiciled reserved categories).

3. Examination Scheme & Selection Procedure

Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (Paper I: General Studies - 200 Marks; Paper II: Aptitude Test - 200 Marks qualifying). Stage 2: Mains Written Examination (Compulsory English, Hindi, Essay, and GS 1, 2, 3). Stage 3: Personality Test.
